Read your trust posture

SAUTERA scores every device on a 0–1 scale and assigns a trust band. The score is composed across lifecycle health, operational risk, energy, availability, and modernization — and it is built from observed signals, not assumptions.

The trust bands

  • Trusted — healthy; fit for use.
  • Uncertain — degraded; needs attention.
  • Untrusted — failing one or more load-bearing checks.
  • Unknown — coverage is too low to conclude. This is an honest insufficient-data state, not a guess — install the sensor or add agentless credentials to raise coverage.

The five VOUCH steps on your dashboard

  1. Detect — open BEACON to see the fleet worst-first, with each device’s score and the factors driving it.
  2. Decide — review the recommended action and the trust decision; approve where a human gate is required.
  3. Act — watch the signed, reversible fix dispatch and the device re-collect.
  4. Prove — the Trust Delta Record captures what was found, decided, and done.
  5. Improve — the trend view shows each device’s recovery trajectory over time.

“Why this score?”

Every score decomposes into its factors, so you can see exactly which signal — an EOL operating system, a missing disk-encryption, an exposed management port, a known CVE — moved the needle. Nothing is a black box.
